Our client is a leading force in the Offsite Construction sector with years of expertise and top-class production performance. We have been asked to supply an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on a wide range of projects ranging from value from 1m to 15m in the Education and Healthcare sectors.
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be providing support within the Commercial team to surveying staff enabling projects to be procured, delivered within budget and to the highest quality.
Assistant Quantity Surveyor Roles and Responsibilities:
Reviewing pre-contract documentation and becoming familiar with Contract obligations and timetables
Keeping accurate, relevant records including records of plant on/off hire, records of labour hours and numbers and records of any potential client contra charges
Attendance of client’s monthly project progress meetings
Analysis of subcontract scope, tender quotations, and cost negotiation
Recognize potential contractual issues on site and make good records including photographs and written statements
Ensuring Health and Safety considerations are kept at the forefront throughout the commercial process
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a contractor
A QS degree or relevant HND Level qualification is desirable, but not essential
Modular experience is highly desirable, but not essential
Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal
Ability to prioritise workload and manage time well
A full, valid, driving license
This hybrid position, you will be working at the head office, from home and you will also be travelling to site.
