We support an older gentleman in a support living service in Hessle, Hull. His parents wanted to make sure that somebody would be able to visit him when they were no longer able. He is not mobile, but loves music and dancing to Abba and other disco music. You will not be asked to do any personal care. The visit will primarily be in the gentleman’s home with support from staff. He benefits from a connection through light and sound, so a volunteer who loves playing music or enjoys being creative is a must! This volunteer role is ideal for social work students or someone with an interest in learning disabilities and supporting someone in their local community.
