We are now looking to recruit a Financial Controller!

As our Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

Compiling monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
Providing clear prompt financial management information to the senior management team and trust board.
Issuing invoices for all sales made by the charity.
Recording and maintaining a reference system for invoices so that transactions can be easily tracked.
Receiving customer payments
Reconciling invoice records with outstanding and aged debt.
Verifying the validity of account discrepancies
Managing the companies’ sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers.
Preparing and processing payroll monthly.
Recording staffing details as appropriate including staff matrix, annual leave, and sickness absence records.
Ensuring clients finances are managed appropriately and accessed where required.
Liaising with professional organisations and use local authority systems such as DPS for potential new clients for the organisation.
Line management the finance administration team.

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

Strong payroll experience and can prepare complex accounts to trial balance.
An AAT qualification (or working towards) is essential or equivalent/higher accounting degree qualification.
Competent computer literacy skills
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Excellent presentation skills.

It would be great if you had:

Knowledge of Sage an advantage but not essential.
Knowledge of social care financial modelling is desirable.
