Financial Planning and Analysis Manager Salary: £47,000 – £55,000 Benefits: Hybrid working options + good benefits package Location: Hull This is a newly created role and a wonderful opportunity within the busy finance team of a highly regarded manufacturing company in Hull. Candidates should be qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA, have excellent analytical and reporting skills, strong technical competence and would enjoy a hybrid working pattern of up to two days per week in the office. THE ROLE: Reporting to the Finance Manager the role will take responsibility for providing accurate and insightful financial information to aid the decision making process. Conduct analyses and reporting including, consolidation of the weekly and monthly profit and loss, reforecasting, variance analysis, pipeline analysis, and graphical summaries of the company financial performance. Consolidate the company continuous improvement program and track against target Lead planning of budget and forecast cycles including profit and loss and balance sheet, ensuring supply of accurate and timely future facing information on which to base decisions. Co-ordinate financial presentation packs that support the profit and loss for actuals / budget and forecast. Support corporate consolidation analyses and reporting, by ensuring all detail is within format required and within strict timelines. Manage or perform periodical or ad hoc financial data analysis, queries, reconciliations, and reports as needed from senior management or to satisfy external client or audit requests. Support initiatives targeted at financial processes improvement and the implementation of changes to achieve efficiencies and the company’s objectives in the areas of billing, reporting, indirect cost recovery, financial reporting, and analysis. Responsibility for the co-ordination of the balance sheet reconciliations monthly, responsibility for the fixed assets reconciliations, support the implementation of new financial reporting. Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc duties as and when required. THE CANDIDATE: You are a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with demonstrable experience of technical ability, analytical and investigative work, communicating effectively at all levels of a business and being able to forge strong working relationships. A collaborative team player, you are also able to work on your own initiative and have a methodical thought process. You enjoy problem solving and providing sound financial information the results of which will be used in the decision making process of the business.
