Position Description:

The GIS Architect will take the lead on defining our customers‘ solutions as well as the development of CGI‘s own geospatial IP. You will need to demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as a background in hands-on software development with some solid GIS experience.
This role will involve mainly remote working with some occasional (expensed) travel to our Chippenham office. There will need to be an induction period spent on site in Chippenham, with remote working thereafter.
All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (SC) level.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Key duties include:
• Designing & developing geospatial solutions for our customers
• Stakeholder/customer engagement
• Requirements capturing
• Contributing to bid creation
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Must have:
• Python ( & ) / Django
• .Net (Core)
• ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise
• Azure/AWS
• Team lead experience
Experience with a mix of some of the following is beneficial:
• Ubuntu / RedHat
• FME / OGR / GDAL
• FOSS4G (GeoServer, PostGIS, GeoNode, Openlayer, Leaflet)
• ESRI Network Analyst
• ESRI Experience Builder / ESRI Web App Builder
• GIS Desktop (ESRI ArcGIS Pro/ QGIS)
• Ansible / Arm Template
• Kubernetes / Docker
• Oracle / Oracle Spatial
• MS SQL Server / Spatial Extension
• SCRUM certified
