Graduate Teacher (Cover Supervisor)
£400 – £500 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role
We are working with a number of mainstream and specialist school settings across Hull and the surrounding areas across the East Riding of Yorkshire. Our partnering Secondary schools are seeking graduates to work as Cover Supervisors, successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on daily supply or in longer fixed term supply contracts.
As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for covering classes in a secondary school. You will be tasked with leading lessons of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher. You will be willing to cover classes across the full range of secondary school subjects. Cover Supervisors are not expected to be a subject specialist in each area they cover. The lesson will always be planned, it is the Cover Supervisors job to facilitate the classes learning, manage classroom behaviour, record accurate registers and provide a handover to the absent teacher. Successful Cover Supervisors are adaptable, flexible, motivated and organised, they have a passion for education and supporting young people.
This role provides a great opportunity to any graduate that seeks to gain experience of working within a Secondary school prior to applying to Initial Teacher Training. Although experience of working in a Secondary School is desirable this is not essential, Vision offers a comprehensive training programmes to new Cover Supervisors.
The desired Graduate Teacher (Cover Supervisor) will have:
