The Wozair Group of companies is a well-established, medium sized specialist engineering Company, headquartered in Gillingham, UK since 1995 with regional offices and manufacturing locations in Singapore, Houston and Dubai. The Group employs 200 people on a worldwide basis with annual turnover for 2022 was £28M.
Growth in 2023 turnover is expected to be approaching £40M. Wozair design, manufacture and supply a full range of specialist Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products and services for the Offshore and Onshore Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Marine, Renewables and other emerging Energy Industries on a worldwide basis.
The wider Group also includes Thermoplant Offshore Services Limited (TOSL) and much more recently North Sea Ventilation & Air Conditioning Limited (NSV & AC), both based in Kingston Upon Hull that also design, manufacture and supply specialist HVAC equipment.
The Group undertakes numerous HVAC Projects for Oil & Gas Operators, Engineering Contractors, Power Generators, Fabrication & Ship Yards and others ranging from spare parts to large multi-million packages involving equipment design and supply, system engineering and commissioning.
Opportunity
Founding Directors Paul Azzopardi & Simon Collins are looking to take a step back from day to day running of the group of companies and as such are seeking to appoint a Group Managing Director who will be responsible for day to strategic direction & overview of group operations focussing on headquarters based at Gillingham and having oversight and support of TOSL and NSV & AC, in Hull.
The Group Managing Director will be accountable for meeting Group overall strategic objectives, increasing revenue opportunities and maximising growth in shareholder value. The successful indvidual will be expected to split their time between Head Office in Kent and operations in Hull.
Person
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience of leading at board level within an SME
* Experience of P&L accountability of £20million
* A background within engineering/manufacturing of technical products
* Proven experience as a Managing Director
* A degree and preferably a post graduate qualification
* Experience of being commercially and financially astute
* Strong leadership skills
* A results driven mindset
