Our client are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join the company during an phase of ongoing growth.The Health & Safety Manager will be given responsibility of assessing the current company operations across its sites and developing the long-term strategy to take the operations forward in line with ongoing growth plans.As Health & Safety Manager, you will be working closely with the senior leadership team to align H&S considerations with the overall site and departmental goals.You will be a capable leader and change manager and demonstrate a passion for your work.Some of the responsibilities of the Health & Safety Manager:* Create, develop and implement the ongoing OHS strategy across the site* Development and management of accreditations and management systems – specifically around the ISO45001 standard* Own’ the site safety policies and procedures and advise on improvements as required* Act as the point of contact for queries relating to safety operations, and legislation, advising leadership on associated considerations as necessary.* Drive auditing activity to identify and recommend appropriate changes to process or procedures as necessary.* Drive digital transformation of safety within the business* Set out and communicate appropriate targets and benchmarks for safety performance across the business and departments and agree suitable KPI’s and measurements.* Drive increased visibility for safety operations and performance against standards and KPI’s* Be proactive in promoting and delivering OHS as well as wellbeing management within the business.* Carry out assessments on new products and processes, considering how risks can be reduced* Manage the relationship with external bodies with regards Safety* Represent the safety function on major projects and improvement initiatives and ensure appropriate representation in decision making.The Candidate The Ideal candidate will have:* NEBOSH, or IOSH qualifications, preferably at degree level or chartered* Proven experience at senior level leading and setting strategy for Safety* Experience working in a manufacturing environment and supporting growing operations embed safety as part of their ongoing success* Experience in supporting culture development initiatives in relation to safety and a passion for your work* Previous experience working in “end to end” capacity across all business functions. Including operational, support and administrative* Experience of multi-site operations and driving cohesive strategy across these.* Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels to drive initiatives* Strong experience of Auditing, risk assessments, site inspections, report writing etcThis company offer a superb company culture enhanced by a world class ethos to their working methodologies.
