We are currently representing a role on behalf of our client based in the East Yorkshire region. * The successful candidate will be responsible for the supply of components to the manufacturing operation and for the parts. Duties include stock management, ordering components and working closely with other internal functions including Finance, Sales, Product Management and R&D. Main Duties: * The placing of orders with subsequent re-scheduling when required to maintain required stocking levels to aid both production continuity and service levels within Ideal Parts. * Analysing material usage and supply chain complexity to aid setting of inventory levels. * Developing vendors to improve supply. * Contributing to the financial period end procedures. * Managing of new product introductions and existing product cessation. * Investigating stock inaccuracies. Person Specification: * Proactive and prepared to work hard and learn. * Come from a supply chain or procurement background * experience of communicating with external partners. * Ideally experience using SAP or other stock control systems * Must be able to organise own tasks / work load all while under considerable pressure. * Excellent written and oral communicator.
