This post requires an enthusiastic and motivated nurse/midwife with excellent communication skills who can demonstrate commitment to embedding a culture of quality improvement and shared learning across the service and the Humber Coast and Vale Local Maternity System. Excellent clinical and interpersonal qualities are central in maintaining a forward thinking maternity service that places women and their family’s needs at the heart of what we do. , You will need to have the necessary skills and confidence to practice autonomously and be committed to ensuring that women, babies and their families receive the care and support required to promote optimum outcomes and positive experiences.

The Women and Childrens Hospital sits within the Humber, Coast and Vale Local Maternity System (LMS) and is committed to ensuring the implementation of Better Births.

Main duties of the job

The responsibility of the Registered Theatre Nurse is to work as a member of the multidisciplinary obstetric team, practising a high standard of clinical care and participating in all activities of the department to enhance the patient’s experience. The post holder will work flexibly alongside team members to meet the needs of the service. 

The post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care during their clinical shift.
