Summary

Reporting directly to the Heath, Safety and Environmental Director, to support the delivery of Occupational Health services, wellness communication and the development of employee health & wellbeing programmes.

Yes! With control over the in-house OH service, this role provides an opportunity to identify and develop improvement opportunities to achieve business OH objectives and improve business efficiency. A keenness for continuous improvement is vital in this role!

Essential Job Functions

As directed by the HSE Director plan, control and deliver occupational health projects in an efficient and cost effective manner

Provide inhouse OH and Wellbeing support to the UKIN businesses

Assists in developing and coordinating occupational health budget

Lead ill health case management (once triggered by HR), leading cases directly with HR, manager and employee

Establish risk based OH requirements removing un-necessary downtime by blanket OH requirements

Working in partnership with HSE, HR and site management to increase efficiency by lowering sickness absence through effective case management

Identify and utilise an effective 3rd party provider for case promotion and independence

Provide proactive UK wide Wellbeing to reduce both absence and presentism. Support CARE+ with a focus on Mental Health, supporting and aligning with similar regional programs globally

Deliver team/group presentations and training sessions where vital and to promote wellbeing

Coordinate site medical health screening programmes, either conduct these internally or utilise external specialist dependent on needs

Management of site first aiders and coordination of the first aid training/refresher training

Requirements

Education: minimum of foundation level degree in nursing

Licenses/Certifications: NMC registration

Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience within occupational health management
