Job Title – Sales office manager (Meeting and Events)

Hours – Full time, Permanent Hours

Location – Hull City Centre

Salary – £35,000 – £38,000

Job Responsibilities

This pivotal role has day to day responsibility for the management of the sales office team and meetings and events business. Responsible for the professional management of all corporate and social event enquiries from initial enquiry to event co-ordination.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Director of M&E Sales to drive change and delivering business levels in line with the maximum potential of the venue

Some of your duties will include;

Maximize Meeting & Events revenue and profit through effective diary management, commercial pricing & the setting of selling strategies:

Manage the allocation of all space used for Meeting & Events business

Monitor, record and report on competitor pricing, facilities, and activities

To support and input into departmental reports as required to support Business Review & Commercial Meetings for ongoing business analysis

Support accurate financial forecasts and budgeting processes via Delphi data entry standards, conversion plus profitability focus when managing the event business demand.

Maximize Meeting & Events revenue and profit through pro-active selling techniques

Ensure an effective activity chase process is followed in the department as per company standards

Personal Requirements

To be considered for this role you must meet the following;

Meeting and Events sale experience

Team management experience

Corporate hotel experience (desired not essential)

Ability to multitask and prioritise

IT literate with experience using online systems and word packages

Confident, passionate and the ability to develop your team

Experience in diary management

Organised and efficient worker
