Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue approaching £2 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Process Technologist to join the busy NPD department at our Preston site near Hull (HU12 8TB). The successful candidate will become an integral part of the Site NPD team.

The main purpose of the role is to develop and to deliver all NPD projects for the customer base, ensuring these meet both the customer and company expectations, whilst satisfying all relevant technical criteria leading to a timely and faultless successful launch which is supported by the relevant site functions. *Main duties include (but not limited to):*

* Post product approval from the customer, role will support in the successful scale up of new products into the factory. Considering Technical, Operational, Commercial and Customer requirements
* Support on all elements of a factory trial. Including raw material sign off, nutritional’s, shelf life, travel test, post factory trial costings, trial data capturing, freezing validation etc
* Work to a critical path and plan workload accordingly
* Attend and contribute towards site feasibility meetings and where required conduct any factory trials to assess the feasibility prior to presenting concepts to the customer
* Attend site Handover meetings once concepts are approved, complete required work in accordance with customer critical path
* Support with creating factory quality standards & customer Quality Assessment Sheets
* Support with product pre productions / launches and customer facing where necessary
* Work with passion and pride at all times demonstrating this thorough results and in-depth knowledge of food and processes
* There is also a requirement to conduct work from a sister site in Hull and may be occasional requirement for travel between to customer

* Previous experience in an NPD role
* Ability to interact with customers
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Computer literacy
* Driving license and car
