Our client are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing activity for their company operations and support the ongoing growth they are experiencing.

The company are a low volume, high value manufacturing facility with engineering activities as part of their assembly processes so a background in engineering led manufacturing would be advantageous.

The Production manager will be responsible for managing the shop floor activity as well as developing company systems to support the steady increase in volume the company is expecting. You will have a broad remit working closely with the company leadership, working to identify and deliver improvements to overall operations and processes.

This is a great role for a Production Manager with a good background in manufacturing who is excited by the opportunity to have accountability for a manageable site with a family feel culture and deliver meaningful and real change.

The Production Manager responsibilities will include:

Leading the team and supporting the delivery of production metrics
Monitoring performance and reporting appropriately
Maintaining a safe working culture
Identification and delivery of improvement opportunities / initiatives
Supporting the improvement of Quality, Safety, Warehousing and Stock management in the delivery of broader operational excellence
Development and mentoring of staff
Fostering a progressively minded culture centred around excellence
Setting and supporting KPI’s
Ensuring safety, quality and HR procedures are followed. The Ideal candidate would have:

Strong man management capabilities with proven experience meeting production targets.
A logical and methodical approach with good analytical and practical skills.
Good interpersonal skills and a adaptable approach to management
Previous experience of engineering led assembly operations
Broader operations management experience could be an advantage
