Our client is looking to recruit a Project Lead to support the delivery of the ‘This-Ability’ project, a scheme designed to support young, local, adults to develop the skills required to prepare for employment. Supported by the Humber Learning Consortium through its Big Lottery Fund programme, ‘This Ability’ will work with eligible beneficiaries from the East Hull and Central Hub area across a 12-month period. The project will offer provision from the Sewell Group Craven Park Stadium with work experience opportunities within the local region of East Hull.

‘This-Ability’ will support people aged between 18 – 29 years of age, with learning and physical disabilities/difficulties and long-term health conditions, who have been unemployed or economically inactive for 6 months+ with the aim of moving them into work

The aim is to create employment opportunities for 80% of participants, through the assistance of a supported employment programme (MOBY).

Participants will receive high quality advice, support, and training delivered by our client and the Humber Learning Consortium. They anticipate that at least 90% of participants will achieve a completed Employability Passport.

This-Ability’ is built upon principles of co-production – involving participants in the design and delivery of the services they receive.

This role will involve the delivery of quality guidance and support on a one-to-one basis, reviewing young people’s needs and guiding where appropriate and supporting participants to achieve the overall project outcomes.

They are looking for someone who is hard working and enthusiastic, confident and with a competent administrative capability. This is a full-time position, based at the Sewell Group Craven Park Stadium. The candidate may also be required to work on home match days within our Foundation department.

Principal Duties / Activities:

Lead the delivery of the ‘This Ability’ project which engages young adults in personal development activities which lead to employment and engagement in positive learning activities.

Responsible for ensuring all relevant project administration, including participant assessment, and broader monitoring and evaluation activities are completed timely to relevant deadlines.

Work with the Media & Marketing department to highlight both participant and overall project success in conjunction with relevant key partners.

Work with the Head of Education & Learning to contribute towards the development and success of all education programmes delivered by our client

Attend CPD events and courses held by the Foundation, as required by the Foundation CEO (Chief Executive Officer).

Be able to achieve targets and meet deadlines.

Strong administrative capabilities.

Strong planning and time management skills.

Desirable Requirements:

Experience of preparing and delivering education and employability programmes.

Experience of working with participants from hard to engage groups e.g., NEETS, vulnerable adults with challenged learning, young adults with mental ill health with knowledge of the barriers faced to participation within these groups.

Experience of delivering qualifications such as Sport and / or Employability.

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with organisations and/or individuals.

Knowledge and understanding of preparing schemes of work.

Knowledge of equality and diversity issues in society.

Knowledge of safeguarding and protecting children and vulnerable adults.

A recognised teaching qualification.

A full, valid driving licence.
