Are you looking to join our dynamic, fun and exciting new role in sales? We have an excellent opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our internal sales team building relationships with their allocated customers and servicing their daily needs.
This is a remote role; the ideal candidate will be based in Yorkshire who can have regular meetings with the sales manager in Yorkshire and travel to the Southern office once a month (travel paid for).
You will use your B2B sales, account management, excellent customer service and communication skills to deliver performance in line with objectives of the department and financial targets set each month.
You will be given full product and technical training; we’ll support you to learn and develop your knowledge of products across the group. We’ll give you the confidence to provide customers with key account management service and consultative technical sales.
Your main responsibilities
Identify opportunities with new and existing customers within the manufacturing
market, target these prospects with a clear and detailed plan enabling you to build
long term profitable sales
Build relationships with new and existing customers to establish yourself as their key
Respond to incoming email and phone enquiries ensuring customers are quoted and
orders are processed by the sales support team
Create a daily outbound call plan to have a clear pro-active approach to key account
Listen to customer requirements creating detailed proposal documents and present
appropriately to ‘make the sale’
Where required provide support across the wider team in quoting customers from
Challenge any objections to convert your quotes
Actively looks for ways to grow business by immersing yourself in the industry and
working closely with the sales leadership team on new ideas and prospects
Advise customers on forthcoming product developments and discuss special promotions
Maintain clear and up to date customer records on the company CRM
Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
Follow Companies Quality Management and Health & Safety guidelines
Previous internal sales experience is essential
Experience selling electrical components, accessories or cables would be highly
Strong B2B sales experience, ideally consultative and/or technical
Account management and business development experience is essential
Strong communicator both verbally and in written form at all levels
Ability to develop and maintain effective, positive working relationships with internal
and external professionals
Enjoys working to sales targets and goals, always striving to overachieve
Good all-round IT skills and previous experience using a CRM system
Must be team player with ‘can do, will do’ positive working attitude, determination,
Resilience and ability to cope with rejection
Ability to prioritise work and adapt positively to changing priorities
Able to work on own initiative
This is a remote role where you would have regular meetings with the sales manager in the Yorkshire area as well as visiting the southern office once a month (travel paid).
Salary basic up to £32k plus monthly commission £38k plus.
