Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be working with a major manufacturer based in Hull in the search to appoint a Senior Buyer.Playing an integral role within the Supply Chain, this role will manage and develop key portfolios of suppliers with a spend of circa £5M+. Able to influence at all levels and holding strong interpersonal skills, this role will require a strong communicator who is happy to split their time between the office, home and on the road.Key duties and responsibilities will include:* Responsibility of spend = £5M+* Implementing and developing key procurement strategies* Deliver cost reduction on agreed targets* Key supplier stakeholder management* Being held accountable for the management of a specific portfolio of categories and suppliersElevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experiences:* Degree educated or CIPS Qualified* Ideally working knowledge of SAP* Strong commercial acumen* Able to manage projects from cradle to grave* Proven Category ManagementElevation Procurement & Supply Chain is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment focusing on engineering, operational and technical positions in Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
