Summary
Responsible for developing global supply strategies and managing overall performance of the Advanced Wound supply chain to meet current and future customer demand, while aligning strategies and tactical activities with overall business strategies of the company. Objectives include providing high levels of customer service by managing supply to mitigate risks across the global product portfolio. This position will manage and support creation of the execution path to fulfil the business plan and enable commercial business units to meet financial targets. Incumbent will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing a staff of supply planners and inventory analysts supporting these objectives.
Essential Job Functions
Create value by developing and delivering global supply strategies that meet the needs of customers and business objectives within each commercial business unit
Ensure alignment of end-to-end supply chain strategies that meet the needs of customers in each business unit and work collaboratively with others in the supply chain to align overall strategies for optimal business results as measured by customer service and inventory levels
Facilitate supply chain alignment to current and future customer requirements through detailed knowledge of current and emerging market and business trends
Direct development of executable company-wide build plan to meet business unit product forecasts
Supervise master production schedule development for all manufactured items globally
Direct the development of supply plans that support business objectives for purchased finished goods
Optimize global finished goods inventory levels utilizing statistical inventory techniques to develop target inventory levels for global finished goods inventories that maximize customer service levels and minimize total cost
Continuously improve supply management processes using consistent tools and processes along with customer feedback to develop and maintain efficient supply planning practices
Provide leadership and direction to project teams developing new products, markets, processes and capabilities impacting finished goods supply
Enable business unit success across the product life cycle, driving advantage in new product introduction through product end of life
Establish, maintain and develop a high performing team of supply management professionals, including recruiting, training, performance feedback, succession planning and coaching
Ensure market and financial competitiveness aligned to company strategic objectives through metrics driven benchmarking and business performance plans
Identify and deliver supply chain optimization initiatives that achieve objectives and maintain supply chain services to agreed service levels
Establish KPI’s and communicate progress and value to key stakeholders
Meet operational budget commitments and metrics
Work with IT and Finance to enable the systematic improvement of software to streamline and standardize material and production planning functions.
Deploy systems and tools to lower cost and increase supply chain effectiveness
Perform all activities in compliance with relevant GMP and Quality Systems standards and specifically with FDA Quality System Regulation and ISO13485
Apply high standards of occupational Health & Safety in the workplace to comply with company policy and procedures
Manage and take responsibility for professional development to increase personal contribution to the business.
Requirements
Education: BS Supply Chain or related field; MBA preferred
Licenses/ Certifications: Not Required; APIC/Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma/Advanced Leadership Training desired.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Production Planning, Buying /
Planning and Procurement to include experience with Supply Collaboration platforms (e.g. E2Open/Kinaxis/Steelwedge).
