Russell-Taylor Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Medical Test Engineer to join their clients expanding team. This role offers a hybrid working model with travel to site in Hull for training. This is a great opportunity to use your skills and enthusiasm to support our clients growth of the medical safety team.
The role:
Supporting the Department Manager and Technical Manager with improving test methods, generation and revision of test procedures, and supporting the implementation of scope updates.
Reviewing and approving test reports and records, working closely with the certification team.
Assisting commercial team, and helping customers with queries, to ensure technical and customer needs are met.
Managing individual projects and communicate with customers to provide progress reports and test results.
Supervising and supporting development of test technicians and engineers, providing insight regarding test requirements.
Applying technical knowledge of standards during planning of tests, contract reviews, and assessment of equipment.
Working closely with other members of engineering team to meet commercial and quality objectives of the business.
Being able to perform or support testing on-site at customers’ premises or other company facilities.
The person:
Qualified to HND, BTEC or degree in a relevant discipline and have proven industry experience in testing and certification of medical devices.
Proven experience working to IEC 60601-1 and collateral standards within an ISO 17025 accredited lab environment.
Have excellent communication skills.
Be a team player with ability to get the job done.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including with customers.
Be able to plan, organise and manage workload in an efficient manner.
