Shipping PlannerOffice based roleLocation: HullWeekly alternating scheduleMonday to Friday 0600-1430 and 1030 to 1900Grafton Recruitment are working on behalf of a leading company who are looking for a Shipping Planner to work in their Hull office.The role:
Arrange shipments on time through good contact with shipping lines, via email, telephone or internet
Update software package correctly with this info
Book units on the various quays
Use the most economical shipping route, in consultation with planning and customer service
Ensuring a good flow of the empty repositioning of containers so that each port is always provided with the requested types of empty equipment.
Administrative processing
Keep an overview of the fleet via tracking & tracing
You will need:
Higher secondary education or equivalent experience
Knowledge of MS office
Knowledge of IMDG legislation, customs documents
Team player, communicative
Planning and organising, setting priorities
Communicative
Experience in the transport sector or geographical knowledge of Europe is a plus
