Summary
As a member of our Care Team, you will support an individual with a Learning Disability and Mental Health condition to a live meaningful, happy life. You will empower the person to identify her goals, pursue interests and hobbies, support health and wellbeing, and be a part of her local community. You will be required to work in other services on occasion, and an ideal candidate would feel confident adapting to different situations. An interest in music, arts and crafts would be an advantage.

You will succeed because

You’re an experienced, empathetic, and resilient Support Worker, deeply committed to assisting people with additional needs who can present challenging behaviour. You’re compassionate, observant, and confident in handling potentially difficult situations. You are skilled in monitoring changes in mood and developing techniques to calm and de-escalate. You’re able to communicate clearly and sensitively with vulnerable people and their families, and always adopt a person-centred approach.

You will love it because

You enjoy promoting independence, providing reassurance, and enabling confidence. You take pride in doing a great job and are happy assisting with domestic duties, cooking, administering medication, providing personal care, attending appointments and social activities. You’re keen to develop your career through training, mentoring, and gaining relevant qualifications.
