Your future duties and responsibilities:
You will lead the overall Technical Delivery across a key account, taking ownership for pre-contract change requests, in-delivery project solutions and ensuring links are maintained between existing deliverables and potential strategic deliverables.
This is a hands-on technical delivery role with responsibility for assuring and authorising solutions and High-Level Designs both for new client business and in-flight projects in delivery. Working closely with (and reporting into) our CTO, you‘ll be able to understand the current architectures, advise on short-term changes to that architecture and act as guardian to approve/reject any for change. Where required, you would own the relationships with third-party suppliers and really focus on building and sustaining client technical confidence.
You will be responsible for the following:
• Defining, validating and promoting appropriate solutions to deliver business benefits.
• Bridging the gap between multiple stakeholders in the Solution and Client teams for complex systems.
• Defining, validating and promoting appropriate solutions to deliver business benefits
• Being Directing a team of Architects involved in new business opportunities and delivery of projects.
• Ensuring a programme of projects are self-consistent across the account and appropriate assurance activities are undertaken to ensure the technical delivery is on track.
• Remediating areas of risk and leading on issue resolution for programme-level concerns.
• Attending and contributing to the Strategic Projects Forum as the Senior technical representative, which governs major in-flight project deliveries.
• Providing insight into risks and opportunities arising from the technology landscape on the account and working closely with the CTO to develop compelling solutions for the client.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
You must have experience of scoping and delivering large-scale technical programmes, complex delivery, working across multiple third parties, influencing delivery and providing business value.
Additional experience and competencies for this role should include some or all of the following:
• Proven and recent experience of being hands-on, working on large, complex, technical deliveries with a desire to remain hands-on.
• Ability to disseminate information efficiently across multiple teams, internally and externally whilst maintaining the key message.
• Strong attention to detail, able to manage legacy delivery with a desire to upskill team members.
• Exemplary leadership skills, comfortable with uncertainty and able to hold a strong position to clients – communicating persuasively with high-level stakeholders.
• Commercial and risk savvy, responsible for overall technical deliveries.
• Significant pre-sales experience, able to lead in this capacity as a Technical Architect.
