We are currently representing a role on behalf of our client based in the East Riding region.
* Primary responsibility to support the efficient procurement of non-inventory goods and equipment.
* Liaising with the logistics planning team to ensure an effective plan is in place to allocate storage in line with the production plan and out loading plan.
* Further development of the stock control system to ensure they have OTIF for all the operations.
* Assist the procurement officer to assist the overseas team and Hull site with purchases of all required components and follow up on order enquiries.
Main Duties:
* Maintain the order logs for the status of every item ordered.
* Update internal records of shipments in both local paper files and electronic .
* Check and authorise the suppliers invoices and pass to the procurement officer.
* Work with the procurement officer to book the shipment for freight forwarding.
* Provide the offered specification, cost and schedule data to the requesting entity to ensure the procurement solution is satisfactory in terms of standard / quality; is within the budget and fulfils the time requirements.
Person Specification:
* Computer literate
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
* Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
* IT skills and ability to demonstrate competence in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
* Must be able to handle multiple functions at the same time and maintain good organisational skills.
* Forklift Licence
